I applied online. I interviewed at MoonPay (Cape Town) in Aug 2024

      Interview

The overall interview process went well. The first stage was an initial interview with the recruiter, followed by a second stage that involved a live coding pairing session where I worked through a programming problem collaboratively.

      Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The whole process was fairly quick (2 weeks or less): they asked me if I was doing other interview process and sped up their process accordingly. There was the initial HR screening, live coding session, a tech discussion, a system design interview, a meeting with the VP of engineering and a "bar-raiser" interview. Everyone was very nice during the process and the recruiter was on top of the situation at all times so I always felt that MoonPay was invested in hiring me.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MoonPay (London, England) in Nov 2024

      Interview

I interviewed at MoonPay in November 20204. The interview had 6 stages: HR screening, live coding, system design, tech deep dive, chat with engineering manager, and cultural fit interview. My overall experience was positive. The recruitment team was always responsive and helpful throughout the process. The live coding test was simple and not too contrived. They also gave me some material to prepare for the interview beforehand. The system design interview was relatively straightforward, and the tech deep dive with senior engineers felt more like a chat than an interview. The engineering manager gave me a clear vision of where I would fit into the team.
