I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Moonpig in Jun 2024
Interview
Initial talks with HR and hiring manager, followed by tech interviews on code and system design, and a final interview with senior leadership.
The process was straightforward and made sense for the position to which I was applying.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience.
We’re really glad to hear the interview process felt straightforward and made sense for the role, that's exactly what we aim for! It’s brilliant to know you had a chance to chat with our HR team, hiring manager, and even senior leadership, we believe that’s a great way for candidates to get a full picture of what it’s like to be part of the Moonpig team.
Thanks again for your feedback.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Moonpig (Manchester, England) in Jul 2019
Interview
Had an "informal chat" about softer side of role, followed by a technical task.
Feedback on Interview task was inaccurate - was critiqued for not having a unit test for a scenario that was unit tested. Also critiqued for having too many unit tests, some tests described as "obscure" because they swallowed an exception (in order to test a specific part of the classes responsibility without over-engineering the setup).
The weighting of the role was advertised as a manager-heavy role. Wasn't offered the role based on opinionated feedback based on the technical task, which as I have explained was inaccurate.
