I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Movemedical in Oct 2025
Interview
4 rounds, including a panel interview and a presentation. They were very transparent about the process and the different steps. Interviewed with recruiter, team lead, team member, director of people, and cco.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Movemedical (San Diego, CA) in Jul 2025
Interview
The process went as:
1. Internal Recruiter Qualifying Interview - 30 Minutes and included more details about the company and position along with answering some standard project management questions.
2. Hiring Manager Interview and Plum Assessment - Plum assessment was conducted prior to the interview, to assess my general fit for the type of position they are hiring for. The hiring manager was pleasant and conversational, I left this interview with a genuine interest for the position as I felt I could offer them significant value and it would be a good fit for me.
3. CCO Interview - Positive and conversational, similar to the interview with the hiring manager.
4. Panel Interview based on case study presentation. - I was provided a case study for a project that had gone off track and was asked to break down the problems, identify remediation approaches in order to correct the program. Following the presentation and some questions, it opened up to any topic. 4 people were included in the panel with the hiring manager, CCO and a CS VP and another recently hired Senior PM.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. My guess is that they hired another candidate that they had previously worked with, which is an inherent advantage. Also, I had cited a salary above their published hiring range, but agreed it was attainable prior to the first interview. It was a number that would have compelled me to leave my current position, but would potentially make me less appealing against other candidates that had agreed to the originally stated range.

Question 1
Fairly standard questions for a project manager. How to work with internal teams, customer relationships, product challenges, etc.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Movemedical (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
After an initial 30+ minute video interview, Movemedical had me do an assignment for them. I had to write a sample document with vague directions and data to work with. They provided a timeline of 2.5 days to complete it, starting at the end of business day on Thursday and ending on Sunday. After researching the company, reading their dozens of articles, and watching their videos on their website to get a better grasp of how to shape the document, I realized I lost my entire weekend working on it instead of applying for other jobs or any other more productive task.
They rejected me, which is an understandable outcome if I didn't meet their expectations for the work. However, the frustrating part is that they gave no explanation or feedback on how I could have improved or met their vague goal of a good document. I emailed them for information on this and they never replied.
I put a lot more effort into this application than for other job applications, and for less feedback. Extremely disappointed.
