Interview
The interview process was extremely haywire, time consuming and frustrating - first the HR team appeared unprepared and lacked organization, as there was need for contstant reminders and follow-ups. But on the contrary, on missing a call a couple of times whilst I was travelling, this particular HR wrote me lengthy messages on whatsup iinsisting his calls be prioritized, which seems somewhat ego-driven and adds to the pressure and creates a disrespectful impression, rather than feeling valued. Such an behavior indicates lack of foresight which lead to a frustrating experience for candidates and reflect poorly on the mangement.
Second the interviews who were on the Team were transparent and were good.
Third round with the VP was not upto the mark as she lined had lined up reviews and appraisals at the exact time of my interview and made me wait for 2 hours- a very unprofessional approach which shows that they are not sensitive about others time and especially when I had requested the HR to check for availibilities for other days or a different timeline. Also her recurrent getting up for taking up calls for long periods over 5-10 minutes left a bad impression.
Fourthly, The HR representative continually pushed to accept a subpar salary that was not aligned with the job role requirement which suggested a lack of transparency and fair negotiations.
Fifithly, Miscommunication on hiring decision - Firstly on quoting salary exceptions I was asked by the HR representative to send in all the documents and then made me do all the procedures. And then said they would not be able to pay the amount quoted. And the worst part was, after I had accepted , the HR mentioned the date of Joining, and said he would issue the offer letter and then after a week when I connected, he declined a call. when I messaged, he said that someone was hired internally recommended by the VP. All in all - this was heights of unprofessionalism.
