I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Multi Media in May 2022
Interview
Screening call with Hr, technical screen with hiring manager, round table meet and greet with the team. Overall was pretty steamlined and efficient. Enjoyed the round table to get to meet the team I was interviewing to be a part of
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
We worked through some predefined problems to test and identify python, django, and general software engineering knowledge, no leetcode style problem solving.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Multi Media in Apr 2022
Interview
Call with a recruiter, then a pointlessly short technical screening with an engineer who made it abundantly clear from the first word out of his mouth that he absolutely did not want to be there and having to talk to me was an inconvenience.
The entire screening was a single question about writing a decorator that printed the exact signature of how a user called a function. Despite saying I haven't had to deal with custom decorators in ages, I managed it with only one or two minor syntax things I had to fiddle with.
It was clear from the moment it began that I had no chance and was wasting my time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Write a decorator that prints the inputs the function signature the way the user typed it (e.g. if the user calls "fn(3, b=2)", it should print "fn(3, b=2)" to the console when the function runs).
