I was reached out to about this position by a recruiting firm working with the company.
The interview process was broken down into 3 rounds, the first two being phone interviews with managerial staff from my position's department, capping off with a panel-style onsite interview with the team.
The first two rounds were pretty conventional (what do you do, why this company?), but the third was poorly planned, with minimal details given. I wasn't informed about who I was meeting with, nor the interview structure. I was asked about the techniques I used in my current role (which they recorded eagerly), and to provide insights on SEM data they had already obtained. I was a little thrown off by this, but I felt it more or less went well. Lots of head nods here and there, everyone seemed to be in a good mood. I was told that I'd be contacted shortly after.
Fast forward to 2 weeks later and it's radio silence. Nothing, not even from the recruiting firm. I reached out to my contact there, and the best she gave me was a "I'm not sure". That's almost a month of interviews down the drain. Very unprofessional and disrespectful to not even reach out to interviewees afterwards. Felt deceptive and like a bait-and-switch process. Would not recommend.
