I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Munvo (Montreal, QC) in Nov 2019
Interview
I was approached on LinkedIn by a recruiter. The first step was to complete a technical assessment , 7 easy quizzes about SQL, Linux , Java, JavaScript, etc. After I passed I got an interview with the recruiter basic about my experience with these technologies and about myself. Then a second interview that consisted of a technical assessment about how to design a database and about search algorithms. After I was invited to another interview with 2 consultants and asked me a lot of business questions and technical ones related to my experience and OOP. Each phase was 1 hour, so I spent a total of 4 hours on this which was quite stressful and unnecessary , since I passed the technical assessment and at the end I didn’t get the offer. Why not spare me if they knew I wasn’t suitable for the job. I feel they want very technical people for a job that doesn’t require it. They call it software but it should be called a marketing tool consultant
Usual behavioural questions, Basic technical questions including SQL queries and basic programming knowledge such as binary search algorithm. Be prepared to solve a challenge by sharing your screen. There should be one technical interview,
The interview process consisted of a series of digital assessments as well as an in person problem solving session. The recruiter's were easy to deal with and communicative throughout the process.
