Interview
I interviewed for a Retail Human Resources Business Partner individual contributor position, which is the exact role I had recently left at another company, right down to the letter. Despite being an individual contributor role, they put me through six (SIX!) interviews, which is completely excessive by any measure. I completed my sixth and final interview with a VP of HR, and the recruiter then gave me a copy/paste, generic rejection email. I think I was being used as an external benchmark. After going through six rounds and interviewing with a VP, an applicant deserves feedback and an explanation for a rejection. Further, there should be no more than 3-4 interviews for individual contributor roles. It is clear they were disorganized on the back end and disrespectful of candidates and their time.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Music & Arts (London, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
Very good experience, challenging but as would be expected. Panel welcoming and attentive. Showed keen interest. And was honest regarding current state of department. I would recommend and good first impression. Offered helpful feedback
I applied online. I interviewed at Music & Arts (Lawrenceville, GA) in Jul 2023
Interview
It was very relaxing. It felt as though two musicians were just having a conversation about their musical past. We also spoke on my education level. Also, the way I would handle my students.
