I recently went through the interview process with MyTime for the position of Senior Full Stack Engineer (Ruby), and unfortunately, I cannot recommend interviewing with this company. My experience left me feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated due to a lack of interest displayed by the interviewer and the subsequent ghosting from the company. The interview itself consisted of three LeetCode-style Ruby questions. The first question focused on utilizing the 'yield' feature in Ruby, the second question involved a SQL query, and the final question required outputting HTML. While these questions were relevant to the role, it was the overall atmosphere of the interview that left much to be desired. From the moment the interview began, it was evident that the interviewer lacked enthusiasm and interest in conducting the interview. Their lackluster attitude made it challenging for me to establish a positive rapport and showcase my skills effectively. Despite my best efforts and completing all the questions within the given time frame, I never received any communication or feedback from the company. The most disappointing aspect of my experience with MyTime was the unprofessional ghosting following the interview. As a candidate who invested time and effort in preparing for the interview, it is disheartening to be met with complete silence from the company. It reflects poorly on their organizational culture and respect for candidates. I strongly advise against pursuing opportunities with MyTime. The lack of interest demonstrated by the interviewer and the subsequent ghosting from the company indicate a lack of professionalism and courtesy. Candidates deserve better treatment and communication throughout the hiring process, and unfortunately, MyTime fell short in this regard. Prospective candidates should prioritize companies that value open and respectful communication, as it is indicative of a healthy work environment and a positive candidate experience.
