I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Myndshft Technologies
Interview
The interview process is three interviews, 1 screening, 1 panel and a final with the hiring manager. Went thru 2 rounds of the interview process. 1st round was great, no issue. The panel interview did have a couple of red flags. The panel consisted an analyst, an executive and 2 members of the PA team. 1st red flag is the PA Supervisor arrived late to panel interview and proceeded to ask questions without introducing herself or the team. Did not introduce herself or the team for 30 minutes. Shows disorganization of the department she is running. 2nd red flag was the supervisor was a new hire, however, the other PA rep had been with the company since 2019 so the concern being they do not promote growth and reward the loyal employees that have been in that position for years. Also shows that there may be an issue of high turnaround for the PA supervisor which is concerning. 3rd red flag is when asked how a person succeeds in the position, the supervisor stated that they have no guidelines but she is working on them. So again, she is working on them yet they have someone who has been for years. I then received the email stating that they were not going to proceed with the final interview while drafting an email withdrawing my application due to the concerns noted above so it was a win for everyone. The company itself and it core values are great, however, the PA department has a lot of growing to do.
As Myndshft strives to achieve an exceptional interview process for all our candidates, we appreciate this feedback.
To address what you labeled as your 1st red flag. It is our policy to have all candidates “hold” in the Zoom waiting room to allow the Myndshft interviewing team members to join the call. After this interview the PA Manager immediately let our admin team know that standard practice was not followed. After investigation, our IT team realized that there had been a Zoom software update and the waiting room setting was not reactivated. Our IT team took immediate action to reactivate this feature. Having the candidate on the call when the PA Supervisor joined was a surprise since this was not our standard process and resulted in your interviewing experience not meeting our goal.
To address what you labeled as your 2nd red flag. Myndshft always allows all team members to apply for open positions and internal candidates follow the same interviewing process as external candidates. Tenure with a company does not automatically mean an individual is ready or wants to be considered for a managerial role.
To address what you labeled as your 3rd red flag. I think there was a misunderstanding or communication with the question as we utilize 15Five for our performance management system which requires weekly check-ins with managers to ensure goals and objectives are being achieved. This approach allows for constant communications with team members to ensure success regardless of the role one holds at Myndshft.
Again, we appreciate your feedback and wishing this interviewee the best in their job search.
The session was pretty Smooth, Interactive, and Informative. Got to understand the business model of the company and scope of my project. Felt like a conversation with a friend. Further actions involve an assessment test followed by another round of interview.

Educational and professional Background with relevant projects
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Myndshft Technologies in Nov 2021
Interview
I first talked to a recruiter, then was given a technical assessment which I had 3 days to complete. It was obvious that whoever created the technical assessment put little to no thought into it. They asked me to make an API call to Twitter, which after hours of searching I determined would literally be impossible in the 3 day time frame (You need a special account to do so and that takes a while to get approved) When I reached back out they basically told me to do whatever, just make an API call. They also had me screen record as I worked and that is what I sent to them. I actually spent hours working on this project for them because the prompt was so open ended, I didn't know how little or how much to do. When I brought this up in the feedback portion with a panel, the response I got was that engineering problems aren't usually outlined and that they wanted someone who was able to ask questions and work through problems. Which I understand, but I think it is a little ridiculous to expect someone to spend their whole weekend working on an problem for a job that isn't guaranteed. I did half the work for them in creating the problem statement and the whole experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
