The interview process as a whole was totally uninviting. I was not impressed. The email from the hiring manager didn't even bother to address me by my actual name. As well as the fact they didn't even introduce themselves (name/title) when we 1st initially met (i.e. before a skills test was issued). It was all very rushed and came across like an admin task. In that instance - I do feel perhaps it would have been better for a HR professional to greet the candidates as opposed to a busy hiring manager! I passed the skills test to next stage interview. The whole process was highly impersonal and cold. I have interviewed for roles at several other children's charity such as Action for Children and GOSH who were extremely welcoming.
I am disappointed - mostly as I don't feel the NSPCC were able to convey to me and demonstrate that they actually practice their values during the short interactions I had.
I interviewed for a role at a children's charity - I would have expected kindness, compassion and a more human touch.
