I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Navan in Feb 2024
Interview
Submit a application and got to do a hackerrank assessment test. There is one multiple choice question regarding react was alright, but the two algorithm questions are all probably hard questions in leetcode. For even 140k package this is crazy, if you can work with these hard question, I recommend yall to apply for faang, they pay more and questions are bit easier. What is Navan anyway
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
4 inputs: s(a string, such as "lrlrlrlr" or "rrlrlllrl", r for +1, l for -1), n(not sure, but the maximum of character you can use), x(a starting point), y(an end point), output: max number of unique combination that can get x to y with s under n number of characters used
I interviewed at Navan (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2025
Interview
AI first round interview, had timer set for 20 minutes, and cut off strictly at the time, so I was cut-off midway through my answer. Wish they would have the usual 1st round screen with a recruiter instead of using AI.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you talk about your experience collaborating with product managers and designers?
Great Process - Quality Questions, Quality Interviewers, Good conversations, time bound. Diverse panel of interviewers. Good Mix of technical and cultural questions. Detailed feedback for each round.
I wasn't offered a contract, but it was a positive experience.
It was pretty short (because I only made it to the end of the first round), and the interviewer was really nice and concise. The technical questions were on the easy side, and the behavioral questions were just a conversation.
