Staff Engineer, One DSPM
I was interviewed for a Staff Frontend Engineer position with the One DSPM team. The process began with a recruiter screening, which involved general profile-related questions.
The second round was with the hiring manager, who was excellent. She focused on understanding my experience, the work I had done, and how things operated at my previous company.
Next, there were two technical interviews, and that’s where the confusion started. With 11.5 years of experience, I found it challenging to connect with interviewers who had 6-7 years of experience. Communication issues arose, as they struggled to articulate their questions clearly. It seemed their primary goal was to elicit specific answers, rather than fostering an open exchange of ideas.
During the coding round, I was given three questions and successfully coded solutions for two of them, third one was css based, which i wasn't sure of. Despite this, I was rejected and later received an email from Netskope informing me that they would not be moving forward with my application. When I tried to reach out to the recruiter for feedback, she didn’t answer my call or follow up.
Don't waste your time if you are an experienced candidate. Other staff level in engineer in the same team are 6-7 years experience only.
