I interviewed at New Street Research (London, England)
Interview
Quite relaxed and conversational, a few motivational questions and some basic financial questions to test knowledge but I wasn't expected to be super knowedgeable as they knew I don't come from a non financial background.
The interview process was a rather relaxing process, had the opportunity to chat to a lead tech analyst for China and it felt more like a conversation than anything. Asked about credentials and past experiences and some basic financial modelling.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New Street Research (New York, NY) in Nov 2021
Interview
Pretty easy, they do a great job with trying to cluster the interviews so it isn’t time consuming on the candidate. Overall, it wasn’t lengthy and I enjoyed my conversations with the interviewers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
These are not tech savvy people so there was hesitation around asking questions and slight confusion on the business need. Since it wasn’t a full panel interview (just back-to-back), I could tell the interviewers didn’t want to ask any repeat questions, which I mentioned would be totally fine.
Beyond the above, very general questions about experience and applicant examples.
