The interview process had 2 interviews. First was the phone interview, next was an in-person interview. The in-person interview consisted of putting together a work instruction for assembling a model car. I thought it was a great interview activity to demonstrate if you know GMP and how to write manufacturing instructions. Everything about both interviews were fair. Why I say I the experience was not good was because they didn't get back to me for 3 weeks after the 2nd interview. Initially it was communicated 1 week to know their verdict. I followed up with them multiple times and their responses were unclear if it was going to take the next week, or 2 weeks. I was interviewing with multiple companies and wanted to really give this company a shot. But the waiting did not make the process easier. 3 weeks later, I received an email stating that they wanted to pull together another surprise interview where I would have met more people and I'd do the same thing I did in the 2nd interview. With poor communication and the unplanned 3rd interview, I could already feel they were not aligned with what they were looking for. I'm not saying that the interview experience was bad because it was not. But I am saying that you either know what you want in your candidate ahead of time and you communicate directly, or you don't know and leave them without direction.
A number of different people at the VP level. Moved fairly quickly. HR worked to set appointments, and it was fairly easy to schedule. HR was at times not as responsive as I would have liked.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nihon Kohden (Cambridge, MA)
Interview
A chat about the company and it's products. Qualities of a TSA (presales) including soft skills. Should have demonstrated more enthusiasm for role and how my skills tie back to the tech part. The hiring manager was very cordial.
