      Director Interview

      4 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nisolo

      Interview

The interview process is designed to waste your time. Started with a video call, then another in-person meeting, then three personality tests, then another in person meeting. They talked a lot of philosophy, they were good conversations and made me feel like an offer was coming. Last step was to meet the CEO in a third in-person interview. This is for a role that would pay half my previous salary, that I’m super qualified for. It took a few weeks from the last in-person interview to get the meeting scheduled with the CEO. But the meeting was cancelled a few hours before our scheduled time. After that there were crickets, no communication for weeks. I had to follow up a few times and ask them to level with me since we are adults. Based on other Glassdoor reviews, it seems like they often have trouble getting to the final stage, making decisions and following through, but this time they told me that they decided to put the role on hold. So in the end, I wasted 2-3 months on a process that went nowhere. I would caution candidates to pass on roles that make you do extensive personality testing. It’s a clear sign that they are unable to evaluate talent and to make decisions. A masters degree and a proven track record of success at companies will tell you more than any “personality” profile from the 1930’s. Don’t waste your time, because it is just that, a waste of time, a fruitless waste of gas and mileage.
