      Engineer Interview

      6 May 2017
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NodeSource (New York, NY) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Got a call from the VP of Engineering a couple days after interviewing. Asked me some basic questions about experience and what I was looking for. After that I set up 3 interviews, one with a Senior Engineer, one with an employee I would directly be working this, and one with a C-Level employee. They were all very nice and the interviews were pretty easy. Just asking about experience and past projects I've worked on. Did a code walk through of an old project I had written. While the interviews were pretty easy, the questions were definitely ones would show your competence in the subject. Another tricky part was the fact that you schedule 3 interviews at the start of the process. So as you were moving through the interviews it would give a false sense of 'moving forward' in the process when really you would do all 3 interviews regardless.
