I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Noom (Jersey City, NJ) in Dec 2018
Interview
I read a lot of reviews of working here (mostly good) and interviews (mostly awful). However, I was still optimistic when I got the prompt to go ahead with the next steps, only to be super surprised by how everything unfolded. Here's my timeline: applied Friday, received email the following Monday to answer the 4 "scenario" questions + 1 minute video, submitted answers and video at 11:47 am on Tuesday, then received the generic "going with different candidates" email THREE MINUTES LATER. I just found this very surprising and concluded that I am probably better off not working for this company if they were able to "extensively review" my entire application in under 3 minutes. (Just fyi with a BS in nutrition and food science wtih 2 years of counseling under my belt, I find it very hard to believe that they reviewed my application and answers very passionately).. Good luck to anyone that passes the "extensive" 3 minute review.....
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Your client tells you it is soooo hard because her husband mocks her for wanting to eat healthy, what do you tell her?
A client's husband got sick and was in the hospital and the client reached out and and explained the situation and apologized for not logging her food for the week
The interview process goes in multiple rounds. First, an online application, then a mock coaching interview where you coach a client, finally, a video interview with a member of the hiring team.
Several interviewers, standard questions. Be prepared to explain your work history as a health coach and why you are a good fit for the position. There is an eschelon of interviews around 3.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you interested in job? Previous health coach work?
POOR. Sucked. The interviewer seemed very young and ageist. It seems like this girl would have rather been looking at her phone and responding to texts than interviewing someone for a job position—worst experience ever!!
