I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Noom in Oct 2019
Interview
1. Fill out an application on noom.com
2. Complete the Noom Coach Interactive Application Questionnaire: In the first section, you will answer a series of four time-limited coaching questions. In the second section, there will be a place for you to upload a short video (up to 1 minute) of yourself, explaining why you'd be a great fit for the role. This second section is untimed.
3. Complete a virtual mock coaching session with an interviewer via Google Docs: The
mock will consist of you and the interviewer running through some virtual coaching. You will be the Coach and the interviewer will be a Noom user named "Sam." They want to get a general sense of your tone and style to see how you might interact with a user. Your job is to connect with Sam and to start helping her move towards a healthier lifestyle. Since the work with participants is text-based (rather than phone calls or video chatting), this will give you some sense of what a typical day at Noom might look like. The mock session will be 45 mins to an hour long.
4. Final interview via Zoom: Lasted 30 minutes.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
How would you react to sudden changes in the workplace?
After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
