I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Noom (Knoxville, TN) in Apr 2020
Interview
I can't even legitimately call this an interview. The person who called me for this could not answer basic questions about the company's structure or the philosophy behind the coaching product they were selling. They did not ask me any meaningful questions about my coaching practice skills or prior experience. Then I was told I would receive text messages from a Test Client and I was to conduct coaching with them. The "client" kept making excuses for every suggestion I presented and basically refused to answer further questions I asked. This would pretty much never happen in the real-world. They never officially ended the interview, and then sent me a message two days later that they would not move forward with me. And now I am glad, especially after seeing that they sold out to Novo Nordisk in pushing injectable medications that have been demonstrated to have significant safety red flags around the world. They have proven that they are profit-driven. Which is very sad to me.
After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.

Question 1
Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
