1. Application Screening
Objective: To shortlist candidates who meet the minimum requirements.
Process:
Verify that applicants are registered NWU students in good academic standing.
Review academic transcripts (minimum average, as specified by department).
Check availability (hours compatible with assistantship duties).
Confirm motivation letter and CV submission.
2. Shortlisting
The department compiles a shortlist of candidates based on:
Academic performance.
Relevant skills (IT, admin, tutoring, research, etc., depending on the role).
Motivation and leadership qualities.
3. Interview Invitation
Shortlisted candidates receive an email/WhatsApp invite with:
Date, time, and venue (or Microsoft Teams/Zoom link for online interviews).
Expected duration (20–30 minutes).
Documents to bring (student card, updated CV, unofficial transcript).
