My experience with Northwest Center left me disappointed. The company often highlights its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, but in practice, there is very little meaningful representation of Black men or women in leadership roles. The culture feels like classic Seattle virtue signaling, where DEI is talked about frequently but not reflected in actual hiring or promotion practices. There is a noticeable lack of diversity in decision-making spaces, and communication styles from some leaders can feel dismissive or gaslight the concerns of employees of color rather than addressing them in a meaningful way. I would not apply here again. If representation, inclusion, and authentic leadership matter to you, this may not be the best environment.
