I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Northwestern University (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2011
Interview
Interviewing was lengthy and redundant. Promises were made during the interview process that were outright lies. Hiring took months which should have taken much less time. Seems management has a hard time following up and following through on projects. This could be a sign that staffing is spread too thin or manager simply is too busy with other matters. Having worked here over a year, its clear manager is busy with personal projects.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most common but yet most difficult is the question where you're asked to describe your 3 weaknesses. The answers are all probably the same also.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Northwestern University
Interview
They were friendly and it went well! Although I didn’t get the job they reached out a month later asking if I would be interested in a different job, which I thought was awesome! (I had accepted something else by then but appreciated that level of care and follow up!)

Question 1
Probably the usual about what interested me. Maybe weaknesses? This was several years ago!
There is a committee that will interview you. A staff member will coordinate a time for the interview to take place. The interview took place via Zoom. There was an opportunity to ask questions. It felt a little overwhelming since committee members take turns asking questions.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in Oct 2022
Interview
Easy in-person interview. 30-45 minutes total time. Shared about the role, asked about my experience. Shared the level of difficulty for the role and expectations. The interviewer was honest and said the role was likely too easy for me and she feared I would not stay in the role long. Salary offer was low.
