I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NuoDB in Mar 2020
Interview
Phone call screen with recruiter, standard questions about experience and competency, there were no tricks here. Received a follow up call with the recruiter where they had a list of three questions they wanted me to answer via e-mail before proceeding with the next interview which would be with someone at the company. I sent in my answers and was told they were acceptable and they scheduled the next call. On the next call with NuoDB, it was not what I expected and in a positive way. They were incredibly conversational and made me feel comfortable truly discussing my experience, sharing what they wanted to accomplish, and discussing how my strengths and weaknesses may fit into the company and what they wanted to accomplish. I was scheduled for another interview but ended up declining due to a life event. They even followed up with me a month later which I thought was extremely nice of them.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NuoDB (Cambridge, MA) in Jun 2017
Interview
I had a few contacts at NuoDB so it wasn't a "cold" interview. Instead, we focused on fit/interest/experience, which in my case was really good. Spoke with the CA and the TLs, they were super welcoming, open to hear my experience so forth.
