I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at O.W. Lee (Comfort, TX) in Apr 2021
Interview
A while back I came to a job fair OWLee. I was hesitant to put this review online but after thinking about it I feel it’s important to let whoever owns this place know what a local thinks even if I chose not to work here. Maybe OWLee will be able to fix it
Just because of my last name or the color of my skin doesn’t mean you should assume what language I speak. I worked hard to learn english and be here and I don’t appreciate being profiled during some of my initial contact with the company. Perhaps in California it was ok to make these kinds of assumptions about people but not here.
I didn’t pursue working here any further based on my first interactions the HR. A couple of the HR people seemed alright, a guy and a girl, but there was a third one that said they were visiting from out of state just turned me off from considering this company any further. I hear they’re hiring for welders closer to Kerrville anyway.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They didn’t ask anything unusual, previous work experience and stuff like that. What caught my attention more was the way I was treated. How it was said and not what was said.
