Interview

I was first interviewed by the CFO for 90 minutes then the principal joined for the last part. The company generally reach out to talents they desire. They made an offer to me at the end of the two hour interview, and I accepted it.

Question 1

They asked standard questions including background, work experience and the reason why I wanted to leave my previous job... etc. Hiring a new person for them is like choosing a new member to join their family. Always be sincere and honest because they are most likely to find out within 3 month probationary period. The company is small, less than 15, so you will work with them frequently. Be prepared to answer questions from the principals for the things that you say during the interview and it is always good to bring supporting materials with you. The principals only interview with people who have portfolio. They are very "visual" people.

It was about one hour long interview with both principles. They looked at my portfolio and showed me the studio. And offered me the position right at the interview. The whole process was very easy. They found my profile online and invited me for the interview.

They did not want to pay for my insurance so they asked me if I am married and can get it through my husband.

Thank you for your feedback, but there seems to be some confusion. Health insurance is a “benefit” and all full-time employees are offered the opportunity to participate in our group health insurance after a successful 90-day period. If you already have other insurance (such as on a spouse’s policy) you are welcome to keep it, OR you may join our group policy. Either option is available for all full-time employees. In addition to offering a health insurance benefit, we contribute a significant portion to the cost of the monthly premium for those who wish to participate in our group plan. We hope this helps clarify.
