The interview process started normally but raised red flags quickly. The job posting was removed before my interview, and when I asked about the timeline, I couldn’t get a clear answer. There was also mention of a “possible case study,” which was downplayed.
In the second round, I was required to complete an “evaluation.” I was told it was not a case study, but the instructions proved otherwise: an unpaid, hour-long case study plus a recorded presentation on how I would improve one of their business units.
This gave me the impression that the company uses the interview process to collect free work and strategic ideas from candidates.
