The interview process involved three interviews
A) Recruiter screening
B) Interview with hiring panel (Choice of in person versus virtual)
C) Interview with department leader
Recruiter screening was mainly resume based and evaluates intention to interview. Other interviews were more situational and behavioral in nature.
Generally the panel was very respectful except towards the end of the process where the recruiter called after 9 pm to assess interest in taking up the position and the ghosting for a week or two followed by a response that they went ahead with other candidate. I had another offer and the recruiter was concerned with that more than trying to get me a better offer. Towards the end I realized they were just buying time with another candidate. Very unprofessional at the end.
