Interview
Zoom with recruiter. then met with manager. Met with their manager and hr, then received offer from recruiter.
Overall a reasonable process. Heard back about a week later from my in person interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at OPENLANE (Airdrie, AB) in Feb 2025
Interview
It was a phone interview, casual. Standard and predictable questions, Star method. Explained the company and what they do and what the role would look like. Was told I would get an answer either way the following week and didn't. This left no confidence in professionalism of the team. Very low wages, way below average for similiar roles elsewhere. They ask you wage expectation and don't advertise pay range-- huge red flag!
I applied in-person. I interviewed at OPENLANE (Carmel, IN) in Jan 2026
Interview
There was unsure about the requirement. There was looking for the admin in Job requirement but interviewer asked all about the developement questions. There was one question on time complexity and another on system design. Unfortunately, I lost interest within the first ten minutes due to a condescending tone and an “I know better than you” attitude. It became unclear whether the interview was meant to assess me or showcase the interviewers. The session ran for the full 1 hour, leaving very little time for candidate questions. Overall, it raised concerns about the company’s interview culture, especially since they interview for the company rather than a specific team.
