All of my interviews seemingly went well, and OU Health was responsive and seemed eager to hire throughout the process, clearly communicating their timeline and sticking to it. In the third interview, I was told that the third round was "just a formality" to "ensure it was a fit culture-wise." We did the interview (I thought it went well again), and was assured that I would hear back with a final decision within a week -- that never happened. OU Health completely ghosted me, entirely ignoring my email follow-up and phone call follow-up. It has been a month since I followed up and over a month since the third interview. I still haven't received a formal dismissal or communication of any kind -- ironic, considering this position was on the internal communications team.
I was impressed an eager to work for OU Health at first, but now, I count myself lucky for avoiding an organization that clearly has communication issues and is very disrespectful to candidates.
Any communications professionals considering working for OU Health should exercise great caution, but here is how the process went for me if you choose to proceed:
There were three interviews.
Interview 1 -- one-on-one interview with the would-be supervisor.
Interview 2 -- a three-on-one interview with two prospective coworkers and a different team manager.
Interview 3 -- a one-on-one interview with C-suite leadership.
