Typical behavioral fit and technical interview, mainly talking around your experience and why you’re interested in investment banking, why Oberon Securities specifically, extracurricular in school, etc.
Pretty standard screen and first round process
I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Oberon Securities (New York, NY) in Feb 2018
Interview
The interview process spanned a couple of months, ranging from phone conversations to a face-to-face interview. Because I was at college during the process of recruiting, the chance to come into the office for the interview was very flexible.

Question 1
What are your long term goals in Investment Banking?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oberon Securities (New York, NY) in Feb 2017
Interview
Getting the initial call/meeting was the most difficult part about the process. The firm does not have a strict recruitment cycle, so following up made the difference. At the time of my application, I had no significant prior investment banking experience coming out of university, which posed its own challenge during the process. Oberon seems to emphasize work ethic and attitude as strongly as technical ability, and showing that I was eager to learn while delivering work product was important.
