I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Off The Waffle (Portland, OR) in Nov 2019
Interview
Very informal interview, just asked why I wanted the job and asked a little bit about myself. I was offered the job immediately, and later in the day when I asked the owner, Om, about pay he told me what the normal baseline pay was and for further questions about pay, to discuss it with the manager. I took this to mean that all pay negotiations would be discussed with the manager so I texted her my hourly expectations and was accused of trying to trick her into giving me a higher pay. The lack of communication between management and the fact that this was then blamed on me was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional.

Interview
I applied online by sending in my resume and some information about me. As they were looking to hire pretty quickly, I got a call within the next couple days to interview in-person at their Downtown Eugene location (a couple days after the phone call). The interview lasted 25-30 minutes, although most of it was just chatting about the business and learning more about the founder/owner. Relatively easy; mostly based on your personality/who you are vs. what you know. Heard back about 3-4 days later.

Interview
After a brief telephone conversation I came in for an interview. It was held in the dining room in the waiting area. It was very abbreviated and involved sitting very close to the owner who was looking intently into my eyes the entire time. Very short with no real focus I could discern.
