I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ohpen (Madrid) in May 2021
Interview
An external recruiter called me, we have a 45-60 minutes chat and, after that, he told me he was going to send my CV to them. They liked my CV although my profile was a little outdated (old technologies compared to what they were using).
A week later I have a one hour interview with the Tech Lead, it was a conversation where I felt comfortable and we didn't have to ask ourselves to repeat any question (English is not my mother tongue).
Also, the position was in Madrid/Remote, although the company is based in Barcelona. Opening an office in Madrid was on the table, but it was not clear if they finally were going to open one.
The next day the recruiter sent me their feedback, I was out because of:
a) My outdated tech stack (that's my fault)
b) My English was not as strong as they expected (it is the first time in my life someone complains about it. Well, maybe they can be right).
the first meeting was with a recruiter, the second meeting was with the hiring manager, followed by a case which i needed to prepare at home, and later to be presented with someone from the team present and the hiring manager as well.
