First phone screen came pretty quickly, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. Within a week I was told that they would like to see me in person. However, the best logistics were for me to go from DC to Colorado to meet the interviewers, or so I assumed. Turned out that I met with three people in person, and video conferenced with one person in NY and one in VA. Not a big deal, but somewhat unique since I applied to work in VA and live in VA.
Took two weeks before I was told, via voice mail, that they were choosing a different candidate. The message said there were no red flags, but that another candidate brought more to the table. Reasonable feedback, but I was a little surprised that, for a firm that prides itself on making fast credit decisions (within 4 hours they say), it took 2 weeks to find out I wasn't what they were seeking. I suspect that my salary interests were not aligned with theirs, and that they found someone younger and cheaper to fit their culture.
Not the end of the world, but I think they could have decided a little faster. I was originally told it would take about 5 to 7 business days for them to decide. I think the total process was closer to 10-12.
