      Content Editor Interview

      21 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at OneClass (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2018

      Interview

I initially applied for a part-time role, and they called and said I'd be suitable for a full time position with a bit more responsibility, and asked if I was interested. I said ok, but the pay was low for the volume of job, but I figured I'd take it because I was attracted to their work culture and industry. We had a phone interview about 1-2 weeks after I applied, and they said they'd call me, but never did. So I sent a follow-up email and they said, oh yes! We want to interview you, so we schedule an interview. I went to my interview, where we went through my resume and experience. Everyone is so young, and they were almost afraid to ask questions... it was a bit awkward. Then I had a couple of written questions about how you'd deal with certain situations on the job, where they were trying to test your personality and your ability to communicate clearly. That went well. Then they said they call back and they didn't. So I followed up, and they said they'd respond next week. So next Monday I got a "Thank you no" letter, saying that I was overqualified for the position.
