I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OptionsCity Software (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2011
Interview
Quick phone screen based around general software development concepts: DRY, design patterns (singleton) etc and then we scheduled the on site interview at their downtown Chicago office which was still under construction. I had 1:1 with two members of the team as well as with the CEO and the CTO. The discussion with the team members was more technical than the time with executives, even though the executives had technical backgrounds.

Interview
Recruiter reached out to me. Then my first in person interview was with the director of engineering. Interview went super well. Second in person interview was totally weird. Some senior engineer came and told me horrible stories about how they have to work on the weekends, and how they get calls at 2am because an emergency big has to be fixed. He did not ask me any questions at all. And then they let me go. It wasn't even an interview. The recruiter called later that day to say they could not meet my salary requirements.
