I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Orange Coast College (Costa Mesa, CA) in Sept 2025
Interview
The process started strong with the first interview was online, with questions provided in advance and a clear work prompt to prepare. I felt confident and advanced to the second round, choosing to interview via Zoom.
After that, I never heard back. No update, no closure. For a team hiring for a student-facing role, the lack of communication and basic courtesy was disappointing. Candidates deserve at least a follow-up, even if it’s a no.

Question 1
What qualities or values guide your interactions with students or individuals from all backgrounds, and how do you help them feel seen, supported, and empowered?
For me, I met with the teacher in charge of on-campus internships and expressed by interest in the specific one. Which was interning at Coast Collective. I was walked through the paperwork and asked about my schedule and my dedication. Once I met with the actual internship supervisor, I was simply asked why I wanted to intern there and I was able to start after I completed the paperwork
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Orange Coast College (Costa Mesa, CA) in Jul 2022
Interview
Solve and explain math problem on whiteboard. Behavioral questions to reveal any concerning stuff like impatience, bad oral skills, etc. Interview took maybe about an hour and felt pretty chill. Minimum wage if you are a student.
