I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Orbital (London, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
I had initial HR screening which went pretty smooth. Then was given a take home task. I did it in appointed time and was invited to techincal interview. The staff was very dry during the convo, didn't even answer my hello. Asked me a bunch of questions about the project, which I answered confidently. Next thing I know, I got a rejection email without any reason.

Question 1
Design a transaction system using Serverless Framework and AWS provider on Node/Mongo.
I had additional (bonus) goals like linting, TS support and Unit tests.

Interview
It was a long process, a telephone interview in which I was told there would be two more stages but there was an extra stage added in. This was a HR business partner level questionnaire despite the role being advertised as HR assistant on LinkedIn and then as people operations advisor on the company website. After spending lots of time and going through multiple stages, they did not even provide feedback after rejection which was very unprofessional.

Regarding feedback, we always try to give feedback and if you felt that you were not given enough, please reach out to mark.north@getorbital.com who will be able to provide more information to you. We would like to wish you every success in your job search.
