I applied online. I interviewed at Orium (Colombo, Western) in Sept 2025
Interview
The interview was professional and friendly, focusing on extensive experience and technical details. We discussed infrastructure scaling and linux experiences and automation things in a collaborative, engaging, and highly insightful technical exchange.
3 interviews plus a challenge that culminated in a 30-minute presentation. Heavy emphasis on years of experience specifically with composable architecture, which hasn't been around that long. I spent weeks learning about composable and the challenge was essentially a research project on it. Finally, I was told I would have another interview, this time with the VP. Then I was ghosted.

Interview
I had applied for a Delivery Manager role at Orium and initially found the recruitment team to be friendly and professional. Communication was clear, and updates were provided promptly at the start.
However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I was informed that the role was put on hold due to internal adjustments and that the process would resume early in the new year. Despite this assurance, the role was later reopened on LinkedIn, and I was never contacted for follow-up or provided with further updates.
This lack of communication and transparency - While I understand adjustments happen, it would have been more respectful to inform candidates of changes rather than leaving them in the dark.
I hope Orium reviews its recruitment processes to ensure a more transparent and respectful experience for all candidates in the future.
