I applied online. I interviewed at Orka Technology Group in Apr 2023
Interview
Beginning of the interview process was good/average, initial phone call and then a short interview over the phone. Was scheduled for a ‘competency interview’ later in the week, which was then changed last-minute to an in-person interview with the COO. That’s where things went downhill. COO was abrasive, cut me off when answering his questions, and bordering on rude: I felt as though the validity of my STEM degree was called into question. The hiring manager apologised for his behaviour afterwards and said “He’s just like that”. Hiring manager also disclosed he was unimpressed at the candidates he had interviewed so far, which came across as rather unprofessional. Had to chase twice after being told outcomes would be communicated by the end of the week. Company seems disorganised and disingenuous.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Orka Technology Group (London, England) in Apr 2023
Interview
The overall experience was ok but felt like a waste of time. Also gave a poor first impression turning up to a teams interview in casual wear.
Got asked as well in the interview if they would be used as a stepping stone. Got asked also to come in for a face to face interview with CEO that felt a waste of time that could have been handled over teams.
At the end of the interview got told that tje position depends on the day of they week that they were being asked and that the position depends on IF someone was leaving. Also would hear by the end of the following week which never occurred and had to chase them up well after the start date to only then be told that they were never in a position to hire.
