I applied online. I interviewed at Orlando Utilities Commission in Feb 2026
Interview
Wasted my time in a big way. Recruiter took 2 months after applying to reach out. Set up a one-hour phone call that was over within 2 minutes, I was disqualified from one qualification which they would have known if they read my resume. Typical government dysfunction.
it was pretty easy but difficult at the same time you def have to have confidence and know what your saying when describing scenarios or your resume /experience and stick to one topic

Question 1
Tell us about your self and your experience/skills
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Orlando Utilities Commission in Dec 2025
Interview
Pretty easy. Interview consisted of 3 other people each asking me questions. Very nice people. Conversation flowed. They enjoyed my positive attitude and how I answered each question to their fullest. These were people I would be happy working with, so a bit heartbreaking when I didn't get an offer. However, they were very professional with the rejection; a formal call about a week later encouraging me to apply for future roles.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to work for us? Explain to us a time where you ran into a challenge and how did you overcome it? Have you ever had a personal goal that needed to be compromised in a team setting? How do you explain to the average person a complex topic/project/field of study? What skills do you hope to gain from this internship? How do you organize your workload and stay on track? Is vegetation management something you’ll want to do in the future? You mentioned Power BI, how familiar are you with the software?
