I interviewed with this company twice. After being rejected the first time with no explanation or feedback, I reapplied and received an automated interview invitation. I proactively emailed the recruiter to acknowledge the previous rejection and ask whether anything had changed in what they were looking for. That question was never answered.
The second interview went well. Then I was informed that moving forward required a fully public LinkedIn profile, because the company had apparently been having problems with candidates who weren't who they claimed to be. This is worth sitting with for a moment since they are an internet security company that could not verify the identity of its own job applicants.
The hiring manager never saw my application. I was screened out by a contract recruiter, who had a nursing background, not an accounting one, over a LinkedIn privacy setting, after answering every accounting question competently. My qualifications were never actually evaluated by anyone with the context to assess them.
