      Applied online on company website with referral. First got a coding challenge which was pretty simple leetcode question with minor changes. The next was a phone screen interview for 45 mins. It was also leetcode question. The interviewer wasn't very interactive and he even went silent for several minutes.

      Worst phone interview process I’ve been through. I had two phone interviews. During the first interview, I couldn’t hear the interviewer very well and told him so. He was then like “oh maybe it’s the room I’m in” but didn’t try to change anything. He pastes a problem, pretty straightforward leetcode medium. Solved the problem correctly after thinking about it. Then I do the second phone interview which went horribly. This time there’s a ton of background noise with people talking and I still can’t hear the interviewer well. This time the interviewer copies and pastes a problem but the sample code I’m given is written in Python when I clearly specified I will be using Java. Not too familiar with Python so took me a a few minutes to figure that part out. The interviewer doesn’t do anything about this even though he says “oh we probably have it in Java somewhere.” Problem was really weird and I didn’t really understand it well, asked interviewer for clarifications and he didn’t really explain things well + the poor connection didn’t help. In addition, both of the interviewers had thick accents. This usually isn’t a problem for me, but mixed with the poor connection I wasn’t able to understand some of the things they said and hints they gave me. This detracted from the quality of interview I can give. I know the bad phone quality was not on my end because I’ve done numerous phone interviews and have never had this problem. Rejected a few days after second phone interview.

One of the things we are looking most forward to in this upcoming year is moving to our new office which will have conference rooms/phone booths for our employees without background noise. We also train and ramp all our engineers who interview so we’ll be following up with our team on this.       I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oscar Health (New York, NY) in Dec 2018

      Interview

      **Since I had a deadline with another company they were able to expedite the process.** Applied online and got a Hackerrank coding challenge after a few weeks. After passing the coding challenge I reached out to one of the recruiters to see if I could get a quick response. within a few days, they set up the phone screening interview which was a standard 45-minute interview with a coding challenge. Two days later I had an onsite at the NY office. On-site was four rounds - first was a behavioral interview plus explanation about the company and demonstration of the different tools and specialties. The next 3 rounds (back to back) were 45-minute technical interviews. Overall a great experience - employees seem really happy (those who interviewed me) and the office looks really nice!
