I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oscar Health in Aug 2021
Interview
I had a phone screen, then a call with a hiring manager, then several 30-minute video chats with a variety of team members for the last round. All of this took about 4 weeks.
I found the process of only having many half-hour 1:1 interviews to be a challenging means of conveying my skills and fit for the position. I know scheduling is hard, but because the questions were so broad and sessions were short, everything was very surface level. I didn't have the opportunity to go into a deeper discussions or get my questions answered adequately.
The whole experience was a letdown, as I was so enthusiastic about the company and interested in the role. The weak process showed the cracks in their systems and culture.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Oscar Health in Jun 2022
Interview
30 minute screen with recruiter, 30 minutes with a hiring manager, then 3 more hours to interview with 4 more potential team members - all virtually. The first person I interviewed with during the final round was preoccupied doing something else and I made a comment about my appearance just to see if he was paying attention, to which he replied "honestly, I'm not even looking at you right now". How disrespectful. 30 minutes to have a conversation does not seem like an outrageous inconvenience. He barely listened to my responses and it left me with a bad taste going into the next 3 interviews. Case studies were presented with very little background information and 30 minutes was not enough time for introductions and case study discussion. If you don't check every box for them then I wouldn't hold your breath. I got to the final round and received an automated message saying they went with someone who was an "even better fit".
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oscar Health (Tempe, AZ) in Feb 2022
Interview
The process took 2-3 weeks. I applied online, received an email from a recruiter within a few days to schedule a 30 mins phone call. Then, a second 30 mins phone interview with the hiring manager - mostly behavioral. Lastly, a panel interview - 4 sessions total (1 technical, 1 case study, 1 with a senior manager, and 1 with a director) and all via google meet. The recruiting team was also pretty responsive. Overall, a great experience. Be able to tell your past success stories and articulate the unique skill set you will bring with you to Oscar. You'll be fine.
