The interview consisted of several meetings with different supervisors. Most of the questions were about my background, as well as a few to get to know me. For the most part the interview questions themselves were not very difficult if you have experience in the field (either academic or professional).

Interview
It was a one hour in person interview by the head of that department. They were really kind and inviting. They said they would check my references and they contacted me immediately after.

They asked me lots of good questions like why I wanted the job, what about my work history made me qualified for the position, and where I saw myself in 5 years.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute in May 2022
Interview
We needed to attach academic transcript alongside resume and cover letter and were then interviewed on past experiences. It was more of a discussion based interview and felt organic and natural, while less intimidating.
