Submitted my application and was asked to complete an online coding assessment. The hiring environment only allowed me to use python which was annoying because I have more technical background in C++. While the logic is the same, little nuances like string length or syntax caused me to lose a lot of valuable time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
2 coding questions, one was about finding words in a string that were separated by spaces but not actual words used, second was about a train schedule.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PEAK6 in Feb 2018
Interview
Applied online and was then sent a coding assessment on hackerrank. I solved all the problems and thought I did relatively well, but then was sent an email a few weeks later saying that they're moving on with other candidates.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PEAK6 (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2017

Overall, the interview process was fast and smooth:
1. Hackerrank challenge
2. Skype technical interview
3. Onsite interviews: 1. resume review, 2. opportunity to ask questions about the internship, 3. 2hr technical interview
