I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PLOS (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2020
Interview
I received a request for a phone screen about a year after submitting my application, which was followed a series of interviews (one with two members of the team I applied for, and one with the Editor) following an hour long test several weeks later, and an offer a week after that. Especially given that I went through this process at the beginning of COVID, I thought it went very smoothly! It was conducted entirely remotely. Everyone I spoke with with was kind, helpful, and seemed interesting/great to work with. It was a difficult decision to have to turn this position down.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PLOS (Birmingham, England) in Aug 2025
Interview
they sent me an email with a link to decide a day and time for the interview. The interview was with one person only. It was a half an hour online interview. The position they were offering was a remote/online position from anywhere in the UK
