      Process Engineer Interview

      9 Feb 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Alexandria, IN
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at POET (Alexandria, IN) in Nov 2010

      Interview

I was first interviewed by phone. This was a brief conversation about my history and an explanation of the position. After the phone interview they asked me if I would be available to interview on site. Of course I said yes. The on site interview started off as a one on one with the local head of HR. He asked the usual questions about my background and explained the position again. He then lead me though the plant to meet the Lead Engineer. In this interview I was asked technical questions about my background. Questions relating to diagnosing problems with different pieces of equipment. After this interview I got to meet the heads of process control and maintenance. These men discussed the environmental and interpersonal aspects of the position. After the interviews were over I met back up with the head of HR and discussed the interviews. He told me that he was very interested and that he had another interviewee the next day. He told me that they would be choosing me, the interviewer tomorrow, or discuss continuing the search. He assured me that he would contact me in any case. I am still waiting.
