Went into the store and asked for the manager, gave him the printed out application I had already filled out, he took me back into the office and we went over my schedule and experience. He said I had the job and he wasn't going to start me at minimum wage because he thought I was worth more than that! Most "interviews" happen like this, you walk in with the filled out application, hand it to the manager, and they either ask if you need a job, and when you can start, or, they go over it and then call you in for a more formal interview. It depends on if they've had multiple applications turned in, and have time to call each qualifying person in for an interview, or, if they don't have time and need to get someone hired- if you seem like a clean, active person, and you get there while the manager is there and talk to them in person for a few minutes, you could walk in and just by that, be asked when you can start because they need to get someone hired and started immediately! It's all about being there at the right time, a lot of applications just go on file or handed over to a different store manager when they don't have a now hiring sign on the door.
