Three rounds of interviews plus an online assessment:
1. Phone call with head of HR. Just a quick chat talking about who I am and why I am looking to join. 15-20 minutes.
2. Interview with one of the software team managers. Mix of personal/technical questions about my work history and what I am looking for in a new team/work environment.
3. Online assessment: A few multiple choice questions, and three coding challenges (1 SQL, 1 string manipulation, 1 about arrays). Very easy questions. Took me about 90ish minutes to complete.
4. Final interviews. The final step is an in-person interview at their Chicago office. I interviewed with 4 people. First was the manager I previously talked to in the second step. It was more of a discussion than an interview. The next 2 people were engineers. They asked very technical questions about stuff like design patterns, dependency injection, messaging queues, and more. Lastly, I talked to the VP of Engineering. It was more like a discussion about my previous work. Very nice to talk to.
